1500 - 3000 m. Crans Montana is a large, well-known holiday resort with 7000 inhabitants, on a south facing position plateau with beautiful views. 13 km north-west from Sierre. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Disco, casino, cinema. Indoor pool, fitness centre, sauna, sun bed, massage. Access: motorway A9 Lausanne - Sierre, exit number "Sierre". Access via a winding mountain road. Access by train Lausanne - Brig. Railway station "Sierre". Take funnicular railway up the mountain to the resort. Bus service. Crans Montana in winter

 Set on a sunny plateau with spectacular views of the Rhone valley are the two adjoining villages of Crans and Montana. The high altitude resort is one of the sunniest in the world. Most pistes are south-facing and on a clear day offer superb views of the Alps and down into the valley.

 The three well-linked ski areas of Chesteron Cry d'Err, Violettes and Amonina make up Crans Montana's large and varied ski area, which goes up to Glacier level. Around 160km of pistes serviced by 40 lifts offer suitable skiing for intermediates of all levels as well as some nice blue runs for beginners. For advanced skiers there is reasonable off-piste skiing as well as some challenging runs.  Snowboarding is very popular in the area and facilities include terrain park and half pipe. The lift system will in most cases allow snowboarders to avoid drag lifts.40 km cross country ski tracks.

The resort offers Ski school (downhill, snowboard school), children's ski school, ski kindergarten from 2 years old.

For non-skiers  there are 15 km ski walking paths, 63 km winter walking paths. 4 toboggan-runs. Natural ice rink, artificial ice rink, indoor curling.

The resort offers a free bus service.
